About Me

Mark Eliason

After a 20-year career in health care, I returned to school and graduated from Dakota County Technical College in May, 2001 with an AAS degree in Photographic Technology, and an emphasis in Graphic Design.

I am currently a freelance photographer based in the Twin Cities metro area. I specialize in community sports/action, event/documentary, and portrait photography using state-of-the-art digital equipment.

I was fortunate enough to earn the 2001 National Championship in college-level photography at the VICA Skills USA National Championships in Kansas City. I also placed seventh in the World Health Organization's 2002 International Photography Competition, "Images of Health and Disability", awarded in Trieste, Italy, and was the second-highest ranking American in the competition.

My work has been published in Apple Valley Magazine, Attic Magazine, Eagan Magazine, Mill Creek Studio catalog and web site, This Week-Apple Valley newspaper, Sun Current newspaper, Used Car News, and DCTC's publications and catalogs, as well as various press releases.

My clients include Ancia Saxophone Quartet, Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce, Apple Valley High School, Biesinger Studio, Bloomington Jefferson High School, Bright Star Versatile Images, Burnsville High School, Canterbury Park, CarTime Inc, Dakota County Technical College, Eagan Community Theatre, Eagan High School, Eastview High School, Falcon Ridge Middle School, Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies, KSTP-TV, Lakeville North High School, Lakeville South High School, Mainstream Boutiques, Minnesota State Patrol, the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA), and the Miss Eagan Pageant.
